Everything is so clean and there is virtually no crime.
Everything is so clean and there is virtually no crime. Transportation is so easy that getting around to museums, spa treatments, facials, shopping, palaces, restaurants, hand painted manicures a cinch. You can pack in several activities into a day and either walk, taxi, bus or subway everywhere. We ate at a lot of random restaurants but also at restaurants recommended on tiktok and at the food court at the basement of Lotte Department Store. There were also a lot of interesting coffee shops and bakeries that were outstanding. We used the ATM to get won, but the bank charges were high. You don't need much won as most stores and restaurants take credit card, but there were a few places where the credit card interface was entirely in Korean. Google Maps doesn't work well, so we used naver.com for walking, but it wasn't great.

Google maps is not available for walking navigation.
Google maps is not available for walking navigation. Naver doesn't work well enough, not easy to track. Food in Seoul is quite good. Local people are not friendly, sometimes hard to ask their support for street direction. I could not visit DDP Art & Museum because the ticket officer didn't explain clearly, just told me to wait outside.

Get a WOWpass, that's the first thing I'd recommend anyone who plan to travel to Korea. Although most shops accept cash but having a WOWpass (works as a debit card) is so much more convenient, especially if you do not speak Korean.
The transportation in Seoul is very convenient, just follow the routes recommended for you in NAVER app. You can get to anywhere!
Shopping and K-pop culture are must do/see/visit in Korea! I always come to Seoul for concerts plus one or two days relaxing, ie shopping, cafe-ing. One thing must be mentioned is that; any coffee shop, absolutely any cafe in Seoul, is fabulous!!

Seoul is a great place to find something new and to discover new foods and cultures. However, Seoul is very big. It is made up of many different kinds of neighborhoods that each target a different demographic. So when you think of Seoul, don't think of it as one place. Think of it as many different little neighborhoods that are all connected. You can easily travel by foot, bus, car, or train to any neighborhood. Just be willing to travel!!

Seoul is a beautiful city, easy to navigate with a local app called Naver maps. There are so many restaurants in and around Seoul and it's real is a Haven for foodies. I would suggest buying a Tmoney card in the convenience store and topping that up for use in public transports such as buses and subway (taxis as well).

Very clean city and Koreans are very disciplined .
Very clean city and Koreans are very disciplined . Very nationalistic and because of this communication is difficult. Street signs and other directions are in Korean . Best to have a translator app on your phone.
Loved wearing their National costume -Hanbok and walking to the palace wearing it. How nice that they keep their culture and tradition to this day.
I travled to Seoul for business meetings and stayed at a 5 stars hotel and was not happy with my stay. After checking out I decided to stay at gusthouse to have closer look at the korean culture and I am so greatful I found this place. the house is wonderfully unique, very clean and in very good location. Mr. Shen and Mrs. Lee are best hostes I have ever had. they cannot be any kinder. they helped me alot in exploraing the city, provided very delicious breakfast and tought me a lot about koeean culture.
It’s about 10-15 mins away from Lotte department, Myeongdong shopping street, Deoksugung palace, City Hall train station, Olive Young, No brand burger, Mcdonald’s, several convenience stores, cheap delicious Korean restaurants, local coffee shops (ex. Ediya coffee), 3 Starbucks stores, Cheongye stream, Egg drop, and Airport Limousine bus stop. Then about 20-30 minutes away from the Gyeongbokgung palace where you can get in free if you rent from one from the Hanbok rentals nearby.
Conveniently located in the middle of Myeongdong and walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the subway station. Our stay was fantastic, and the staff was very accommodating (helping us a ton as we spoke very little Korean). We reserved a spa treatment which I would definitely recommend. The beds were very comfortable and helped to get over jet lag quickly. Clean & quiet rooms and overall 10 out of 10 hotel, will stay there again the next time we’re in Korea
I liked basically everything about this hotel. Location was exceptional, my room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, the bathroom was well thought out (taking a shower didn't make the whole bathroom wet) and I even got a pretty nice view. I have stayed at 4 different hotels during my vacation in South Korea and this one was by far the most enjoyable. Also, kudos to the reception staff as they were very polite and spoke English remarkably well.
The location was great! Everything is near the hotel: subway, restaurants, convenience stores like e-mart, CU, 7/11! You can walk to many places on foot. Its very convenient.
The hotel room is small and cute. I travelled alone but its okay for 2 people too. Everything i needed was in there
The staff also very very nice and friendly and helpful!
Thanks to this hotel i enjoyed ,my trip to South Korea!!!
Staff were very nice and understanding. The hotel is a very close to Myeongdong station which is really convenient. The Emart outside is well stocked if you forget something or want to save some money and buy some breakfast there. It was a nice place to stay overnight before catching the KTX the next day. Really quiet during the night and the air con was easy to control in the hot korean summer.
Very nice and helpful front desk. Room cleaning is everyday, they will change your towels make up room etc. The guards at night are very nice, will help you with luggage etc. It was my first time in Seoul, and I can recommend this hotel to stay. You have subway near, a lot of korean restaurants around, coffes and shops. It is easy to come back to hotel at night (there is night bus stop near).
I'm more satisfied than I thought.
The room was clean and warm and nice. If you ask the owner of the hotel, he will do his best to help.
I wanted to eat chicken, but the application in Korea was too complicated, so I inquired, and the boss answered quickly.
The owner ordered chicken instead.
I personally recommend this affordable accommodation.
A gem in Gangnam! The staff is exceptional!! The room was very clean and extremely quiet. Although Gangnam is some distance from many of the Seoul tourist sites, this hotel is located close to Metro stations and across the street from the airport limousine bus. The Beat Western is also close to many outstanding restaurants.
Great sized room if solo traveling. Great location just right off the busy streets of Hongdae. Subway station is just a 10 minute or less walk away.
Staff was super attentive and warm. The room was immaculate and clean. Bed was super comfortable, probably one of the best ones I’ve had in Korean Airbnbs.
Got a free room upgrade
Very nice room for Korea 2 star, western 3 star. If I hadn't know the rating, the room is closer to 4 or 4.5 star quality. But the lobby is very small, so the rest of the hotel wasn't as impressive.
Service desk was helpful, but not all could speak English that well
Ananti at Gangnam is spectacular. Easily one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The workout facilities and pools were phenomenal. The room was exceptional. The staff were kind and accommodating. I would be delighted to stay there or at another Ananti property in the future.
If I have chance to visit Korea, I would love to stay ENA Hotel. Not only location, hotel facilities and staff also surround hotel. There are many restaurants for local people. Most of restaurants provide nice service with reasonable price and tasty food.
super new and clean, really spacious. lots of charging points too, with USB ports in case you don’t have a travel charger! it’s a good place to stay if you go to hapjeong/hongdae or gangnam often. takes about 45min from Incheon Airport to the hotel!
Totally does not feels like 3 star hotel. More like 5 star. My boys were all surprised. The location is excellent too, both to tourist spots and going to airport . Best part is Lotte Mart is at the basement! Spoilt for food choices
Pour over coffee in the morning. Kind and considerate staff. Spoke both English and Korean very well. The hotel is located right near the main street of Hongdae Station, but the soundproofing meant the noise wasn't a problem.
Absolutely amazing view of Namsan Tower. Was a wonderful finish for our South Korea trip.
Delicious food at the hotel’s restaurant and beautiful room with a window view of Namsan Tower was just a dream come true.
it’s new we were the first to stay in the room but the hotel is still ironing out the kinks so there were a few lapses with service and it’s feels more like a 4 star than a 5 star
