I wish I had stayed at least another day to take in everything Gyeongju has to offer. Going with a guide who drove us around and knew all the ins and outs of restaurants and other places to visit was key to making our short visit so memorable.

In total spent around four days in Gyeongju and the surrounding area. The main part of the city is pretty typical of Korean cities. The main attractions are to the south. It is steeped in history and a great place to learn about Korean heritage. Tombs of former kings, partially recreated palaces, stunning bridges, fields of colourful flowers and some streets with fantastic restaurants and shops. Much of the historic area is laid out in beautifully maintained parks and gardens. A highlight and one of our favourite places on our 2.5 weeks trip to Korea. There are two national parks near by offering good walking opportunities. We undertook one short walk to Chilbul-am temple which was incredibly scenic.

A city with a rich history.
A city with a rich history. Lots of artifacts, museums, nature to enjoy. Very generous and comprehensive information from brochures can be easier found. Tourist information centers are really helpful places. The parks are really one of its kind....so beautiful and we'll thought out to make sure that all visitors can enjoy. Security is good in the touristy places.
Our host at SiEunJae was wonderful and the facilities were super clean and very comfortable. I was traveling with my teenage son and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and answer any questions we had (his English is quite good, my Korean not so much). The location is great, just outside of the very busy core area of Gyeongju but only a few minutes away from the action by foot. It’s quite close to the bus line to Namsan Natl Park, as well. Would highly recommend!!
The hotel/guesthouse is very well located near the intercity bus terminal of Gyeongju (local busses also stop nearby), but also within walking distance from the mains shopping street (restaurants, shops..) and the main cultural sites of the town. The room was comfortable and very clean. The whole hotels seems to have been renovated recently, in a modern but original style.
The lady at the reception was particularly helpful and kind, and made me feel welcome in Gyeongju.
The Guesthouse is perfectly located by the bus station and the Hanok village. There are plenty of restaurants and facilities around the area. The accommodation itself is cute, well maintained and comfortable.
The stuff was kind and lovely. The owner makes the breakfast himself and I go the opportunity to taste some Korean food!
Instructions are handed in when you checked in, so everything is clear and straightforward. The dog / recepcionist doggie is just soo cute! Lol
We received excellent services from the hosts before and during our stay. They replied promtly to email, were attentive, personable and gave useful tips on what to see & how to get round Gyeongju.
The hostess is a very caring person. Because we don't speak Korean, she walked with us to the bus stop and talked to the bus driver on our behalf.
The guest house is in a central location. Room is small but clean and is a typical traditional Korean house.
I was skeptical of this booking as it is listed as a hostel, but it presents much more like a hotel. The room was big and spacious, clean, and the view... the view was spectacular.
What made this stay so special is the lovely owner. He's a jack of all trades and you will find him doing every odd job around the place, including cooking his guests an amazing breakfast.
Gyeongju is spectacular, worth a visit, and if you go, go stay here.
The location of the property is close to the lively area of Gyeongju, all restaurants, shops and the historical landmarks of course. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed the quietness of it at the end of the day. The breakfast met our expectation. It was sufficient and tasty. The hosts are extremely helpful and kind. If you are searching for a quiet and relaxing place in Gyengju, look no further.
Nice location in the local neighborhood with food and business less than a block away. Gyeongju sides also a short walk away. Definitely good choice for convenience. 2 bedroom home. 1 queen bed, 1 full, living room has a fold out futon sofa plus additional futon mats… each room with individual AC. No washer, but a clothes steamer type machine…. Excellent kitchen and terrace area.
Our stay was amazing. The location was perfect and the facilities were very charming and clean. We left behind sunglasses and our host flagged it immediately. She arranged to send them to our next destination which was truly above and beyond service for which we were very grateful. We highly recommend Adam Guesthouse for your visit to Gyeongju.
We stayed in a private room which was clean and sized to the budget.
There were free laundry facilities, which we were delighted to use.
There was a good breakfast included.
The bus station is nearby.
The guesthouse / hostel was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone spending a few nights in Gyeongju on a budget.
Hanok Inn is a beautiful authentic Hanok, with a lovely small garden. It was quiet. Most importantly the lady who owns this Hanok was a delight. Telling us about the Silla Festival events and the best places to have dinner. For breakfast she prepared us a delicious Korean meal. This is a perfect place to stay in Gyeongju.
I was very happy to have booked this very new and modern hotel.
The rooms were clean and well designed with a separated shower which is rather uncommon in that price range in Korea.
The location of the hotel is great as well.
The best hostel I had in South Korea! This apartment is cozy and clean, have a very good breakfast, much privacy in the dorms, a lot of facilities (my favorite was the feet-massage-device). Highly recommended
Very friendly staff. Convenient location with parking. Breakfast available with variety of eggs and bread. Comfortable beds. The hotel atmosphere was fun. Heating and AC were working right.
Authentic experience in South Korea - really liked the guesthouse with Kenti (the dog). Great location and friendly guests who were up for a chat. Comfy beds and clean facilities.
Very good hotel for a three stars hotel. Good location with a parking in relatively walking distance from most sites. Clean equipped room. Satisfying breakfast.
