Sokcho, a city in Gangwon province, is widely known for the beautiful Seorak mountain, and its fish products. This 8-hour private tour will take you to three of the must-see places in the city; Seorak National Park, Sokcho Jungang market, and Daepohang.

Your English-speaking driver will pick you up from Sokcho Express bus terminal at 10:00am.

Your first stop will be Sinheungsa Temple in Seorak National Park. Your driver will provide the entrance tickets and you will be able to explore at your leisure for 2 hours. As you go around, you will see a bronze statue called Bronze Jwabul Statue, which is well over 10 meters high. Just beyond the statue, on a granite terrace, there is a bridge to the right called Hyeonsugyo which has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. Past the bridge is a long stone wall with a Cheongwang door, and you can enter the temple.

After exploring Sinheungsa Temple, your driver will take you to Sokcho Jungang Market. This market offers various goods like general industrial products, clothes, and agricultural and marine products. It is the main market in the region and fresh seafood, including prepared raw, is available at a reasonable price. For lunch, try Manseok Dak-gangjeong, a sweet and sour chicken that is one of the most famous foods in Sokcho.

After finishing lunch at the market, our driver will take you to Daepohang. Daepohang Port is one of the most popular tourist spots as it is widely known for its fresh fish. You will find plenty of raw fish restaurants, dried fish ships and live fish markets that sell eel, flatfish, flounder, yellowtail, and many more. You can also try local dishes lining the streets, such as Ojingeo Sundae (Korean sausage in a squid) and Gamja Songpyeon (steamed rice cake with potato filling).

After your time at Daepohang port, your driver will take you back to Sokcho Express terminal where your tour ends.
