This 4-hour coach tour offers a wonderful overview of some of the best sights in Seoul. This is a family friendly tour which will engage the youngest to oldest family member. Tour highlights include: Grevin Seoul Museum – France’s famous beeswax museum, Seoul City Hall – a Renaissance-style stone building, and Hwangudan Altar.
This tour begins with a pick-up from select hotels in central Seoul at around 10am.
Your first stop will be Grevin Seoul Museum – France’s famous beeswax museum, the Musee Grevin. Over 80 wax figures will be presented in themed spaces, which also includes the historical figures King Sejong and General Lee Sunshin. The first Asian subsidiary in Seoul is adding a slew of South Korean hallyu celebrities including Psy, G Dragon as well as figuare skating star Kim Yuna.
We also visit Seoul City Hall, a Renaissance-style stone building founded in 1926. Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall is a historic site where the March 1, 1919 (Samil) Independence Movement and the pro-democracy movement in June 1987 were held. It is also a well-known place where tens of thousands of Korean soccer fans came to cheer at during the 2002 World Cup Games.
Your final tour stop is Hwangudan Altar (also known as Wongudan Altar), an altar complex for the rite of heaven. The rites were first performed in the Goryeo Dynasty by King Seongjong in the first month of 983 (2nd year of his reign), but was repeatedly adopted and abolished, and eventually stopped at the start of the Joseon Dynasty.
You will be dropped back off to your hotel at the end of the tour.
