4. BIFF Square, Gukje Market
Major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in 1996, and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on August 14, 1996. Following the Korean War, refugees who had fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market

6. Yeongdo Bridge
Yeongdodaegyo Bridge connects Jung-gu and Yeongdo-gu districts in Busan. Constructed in November 1934, it was the first island-land connecting bridge in Busan and the only single-leaf bascule bridge in Korea.

7. Busan Cinema Center (Home of the Busan International Film Festival)
From an architectural perspective, the center is of historic work that embodies the theories of deconstructivism while exhibiting a sense of formative beauty. The center’s ‘Big Roof’ is the largest roof in the world (2.6 times larger than a soccer field) and comes complete with 42,600 LED lights, which help create an unforgettable scene along with Suyeong River and Naru Park.

8. Samgwangsa Temple
Samgwangsa Temple is to hold its famous lantern festival, which has been attracting over a million visitors each year. CNN Travel also voted this temple to be one of the best spots you must visit in Korea. The festival is known for a variety of lanterns. The lanterns with hope and sincere love toward Buddha will create spectacular views, watching wave of lanterns lighten up the dark sky with their brilliant colors.

9. Mountain Hwangnyeongsan Observatory (drive up to the top)
Hwangnyeongsan Mountain is located in the heart of Busan. With an altitude of 427m, the mountain is the second highest mountain in the Geumnyeon Mountain Range.
