This 8.5-hour tour gives you a glimpse of Seoul’s past and present. In the morning, visit historic sites such as Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbok Palace and Insadong, then head to Yeonnamdong, Mangwon Market and the Trick Eye Museum in Hongdae to see the latest rising hot spots in Seoul.

You will be picked up by your professional local tour guide in the morning. The comfortable air-conditioned van transports you to each attraction, starting with Bukchon Hanok Village, well-known to showcase traditional Korean architecture. Bukchon Hanok Village is also famous for small Korean traditional handcraft shops, gallery and museums. This tour includes a hands-on drawing Minhwa tutorial. Minhwa is style of painting from Joseon Dynasty that depict artwork of mythical creatures and other objects. 

After your drawing experience, your next destination is the oldest and biggest royal palace of Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbok Palace. You will have enough time to walk around the royal palace and visit the National Folk Museum inside.

Next, head to Insadong, which is known for its unique Korean traditional exterior and its many art galleries. You can also see signs of shops, all written in Korean character, Hanguel. This is a great area to buy pretty hand-craft souvenirs. You will also be enjoying your delicious Korean lunch at Insadong.

After refilling your energy, it’s time to travel all over Yeonnamdong that is part of Hongdae, known as the Street of Youth. Originally, Yeonnnamdong was known for famous Chinese restaurants run by overseas Chinese. Now, it has turned into the place where you will find hidden treasures like adorably decorated small book store, cafes, and restaurants that have variety cuisine from all around Seoul. You will also you will visit Mangwon Market, famous for food vendors that sell local Korean snacks like Yangnyeom – a sweet and sour spicy fried chicken, Tteokppoki – Korean rice cakes, and Korean style donuts. 

The last stop is Trick Eye Museum, located in the center of Hongdae area. Trick Eye Museum is optical illusion themed gallery where you can take a lot of interesting and hilarious photos to share with your friends and family. Warning! It is so real that you can confuse yourself to actually be part of the artwork.

Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel in Seoul.
