Your private tour starts with pickup from your hotel at around 9am where you will head to Bukhansan mountain to start your 3 hour hike.
Bukhansan mountain is situated on the northern periphery of South Korea. It was designated as the 15th national park of Korea in 1983. Nowadays, it is a popular place for hiking and rock climbing. The mountain is 78.45km wide, composed of six districts and extends out into the Gyeonggi-do Province. If you enjoy hiking, Bukhansan is the best place in Seoul for this activity. See the beautiful vivid autumn leaves in the fall or the cherry blossoms in the Spring. No matter what season you are coming, you will enjoy your hike and appreciate the different sceneries.
The most famous attraction is the Bukhansanseong Fortress built along the mountains ridges. It was built with a wall stretching on 8,500 meters, specifically designed to stop a foreign invasion. It is one of the representative mountain fortresses of the Joseon Era. Other nearby attractions include the Sangunsa Temple which was built by the monk Won-Hyo, and numerous other temples that occupy the mountains areas.
After your hike, enjoy a traditional Korean lunch of bulgogi or kimchi stew.
You will then head to a Jjimjilbang, also known as Korean sauna. It is a large, gender-segregated public bathhouse, furnished with hot tubs, showers, Korean traditional kiln saunas and massage tables. If youre a Korean drama fan, you may know that Jjimjilbang are very popular in the Korean culture. Koreans sleep overnight at the Jjimjilbang for quite an affordable price, and they commonly wear sheep head shaped towels, adding more fun to the experience.
After your Jjimjilbang experience, you will be dropped back off at your hotel to end your tour.
