Be entertained by YOULL, a 1.5-hour Korean performance at the Jeongdong Theater in Seoul. To the delight of domestic and foreign audiences, YOULL is a comprehensive traditional performance displaying all features of Korean art, such as dance, martial arts, swordsmanship, music, plays, and vocal music. After hotel pickup, your guide will provide background on the show before you settle into your seat at the Jeongdong Theater. Located on Jeongdong Street, the hall seats 600 in a spacious atmosphere. The Jeongdong Theater opened in 1977, and has been featuring performances of traditional Korean dance and music for audiences of all ages ever since.
YOULL comprises all features of Korean traditional art, such as dance, martial arts, swordsmanship, and music. This original performance was created by Jeongdong Theater, distinguishing it from the other novel adaptations often shown.
The story centers on Gaon, who was born in the world of light and who defeated a devil to save the world. Gaon grows from boy to hero, undergoing wars, challenges, and adventures. This performance also includes sorikkun, a Korean storyteller, to showcase pansori, a Korean genre of musical storytelling inscribed on the UNESCOs Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. Projection mapping and media art give the show its modern twist.
After the 1.5-hour performance, youll be dropped off back at your hotel.
