This exciting day tour combines the old and the new! Gyeongbok Palace originally built in 1395 was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty located in northern Seoul, South Korea. Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings’ households, as well as the government of Joseon, and it is the largest of the 5 Grand Palaces built by the Josseon dynasty. Next you will visit Gyeongbokgung Palace (or Changdeok Palace on Tuesday), arguably the most beautiful and the grandest of all five palaces. In the early 20th century, much of the palace was systematically destroyed by Imperial Japan. Since then, the walled palace complex has gradually been reconstructed to its original form. It also houses the National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum within the premises of the complex. You will have a chance to explore the National Folk Museum and watch The Changing of the Royal Guard Ceremony.
Continue to pass by Blue House, known as Cheong Wa Dae, the Presidential Residence and visit Ginseng shopping center. Enjoy lunch at Insadong traditional restaurant. After lunch, move on to Gangnam Area and visit COEX Aquarium, one of the biggest aquariums in Kore, and Lotte Duty Free COEX. Your last stop will be Garosu-gill Street, an upscale street in Seoul, before heading back to your hotel.
