This 8-hour day trip takes you to famous Korean culture themed attractions, Korean Folk Village and Suwon Hwaseong. At the Korean Folk Village, watch interesting performances and take photos with staff working in the village who are wearing the traditional Korean costume, Hanbok. Suwon Hwaseong is known as the fortress wall surrounding the provincial capital of Gyeonggi province.
You will be picked up from your hotel centrally located in Seoul by your local tour guide in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle. Your first destination for this tour is the Korean Folk Village where you can find over 260 Hanok (traditional Korean houses), reminiscent of the late Joseon Dynasty. See staff working in Korean traditional hand craft shops at the village wearing Hanbok (traditional Korean costume). You might also have an opportunity to view interesting performance shows.
After your Korean Folk Village tour, your next destination is Suwon Hwasoeng. Suwon Hwaseong is as a fortress wall surrounding the provincial capital Suwon. The wall was constructed in Josen Dynasty order of King Jeongjo, built as a symbol of economic power and to show his filial piety towards his father. The site was designated as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO in 1997.
Your final stop is Hwaseong Haenggung, a temporary palace where the king sought refuge during the war and where he found rest during times of peace. The Hwaseong Haengung is the largest of all temporary palaces in Korea, used by King Jeongjo and the kings who followed.
You will then return to Seoul and will be dropped back off to your hotel.
