This afternoon tour is designed for guests to enjoy the panoramic view in Seoul from the apex of Namsan Mt. It was from this mountain top that Korean Kings conducted a ritual ceremony to the deities to insure a prosperous dynasty. At the base of the mountain we’ll find and visit Namsan Hanok Village, and gain some more understanding how ancient Koreans lived. Near by is Namdaemun Market, one of the largest open markets in Seoul. Literally everything is available here, but you can always find good deals if you looking for clothes, shoes, glasses and even bags. The market is open until midnight. Retailers never sleep in Korea.

Meet and greeted by your guide at designated hotels and transported to Seoul “N” Tower driving along Namsan Mt. to the peak.

Seoul “N” Tower opened to the public on October 15, 1980 and has since become a major tourist attraction. The 236.7m Seoul Tower sits atop Namsan Mountain (243m). Seoul Tower offers panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. The view is so stunning that many consider Seoul Tower the best tower city view in Asia.
Thirty years and countless visitors later, the structure was renamed ‘Seoul N Tower.’ The letter ‘N’ stands for the tower’s ‘new’ look, which resulted from a 15 billion won remodeling effort in Dec, 2005. With the new lighting system and changes to the tower’s overall color scheme, event coordinators now decorate the tower for each new season or event.

Visitors are encouraged to try the N Grill western-style revolving restaurant (one rotation every 48 minutes) and the Sky Restaurant (an artfully decorated space). Both offering breathtaking views of the cityscape and panorama.

Situated near Chungmuro Subway Station, Namsangol Hanok Village (traditional Korean village) is located at the base of Namsan Mountain. This traditional Korean village looks more than a little out of place with modern day sky scrapers looming around it. The village has five restored traditional Korean houses and a main pavilion, a pond and a time capsule. The grounds make it a perfect spot to take a walk. When you enter the front gate, you will see a large depression and the Chunugak building to the left of the pond. Opposite the pond are five traditional Korean houses rebuilt in the traditional style of Joseon Dynasty houses and representing those utilized by an assortment of Korean social classes.

Opened in 1964, Namdaemun Market is the largest traditional market in Korea with a huge assortment of goods and products for sale. Prices are affordable and the stores in this area also function as wholesale distributors. Namdaemun Market opens from 11:00pm to 3:00am, and is crowded with retailers and wholesalers from all over the country. At day break, the site is busy with Koreans preparing their shops for business. This market is pure Korea and it creates a unique scene that attracts tourists worldwide.

The final stop is at an area shopping center.

Drop-off downtown City Hall.
