Visit a strawberry farm outside of Seoul to pick some of the sweetest strawberries you’ll ever taste. You’ll walk through the fields to fill up a basket with strawberries, and then learn how to make jam during an easy hands-on less with an instructor. Bring your fresh berries and jar of jam back to Seoul with you! Includes round-trip transport from Seoul hotels.
After hotel pickup, travel by coach to the strawberry farm, located about one hour from Seoul.
Take in the countryside scenery as you leave the city behind and travel to farm. Upon arrival, your guide shows you where the strawberries grow and shares information about the tasty fruit, such as its vitamin content and its peak season. Watch a brief demonstration on how to pick the berries most efficiently, and then grab a basket and try it yourself, perhaps tasting a few along the way.
You are allowed to pick up to 2.2 pounds (1 kg) of strawberries per adult and 1.1 pounds (0.5 kg) per child. When you’re done, head into a nearby building where the farm staff demonstrates how to make strawberry jam in just a few simple steps: mashing the strawberries, adding sugar and stirring the pot while the jam cooks. At the end of your lesson, receive a jar of fresh jam to take back to Seoul with you.
Your tour ends with the return drive to the city, stopping along the way for a 15-minute break at a shop that sells amethysts and ginseng.
